Quick Biscuits

Light, flaky, and so quick to make. Start to finish 30 minutes +/-

Ingredients

  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  2. Combine flour and cream in a large bowl.
  3. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface; knead for 5 minutes or until no longer sticky.
  4. Roll dough to a 1/2-in. thickness. Cut into 2-1/2-in. biscuits.
  5. Place in a large, ungreased cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet.
  6. Bake until golden brown, 8-10 minutes.

Note: If you don’t have self-rising flour, add 1 tablespoon baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt to 2 cups all-purpose flour.
