Spice up bricks of feta cheese, throw it on the grill, and get ready for a crisp and creamy cheese spread.
Start to finish: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 12-oz bricks of feta cheese, drained and patted dry
- 1 T fresh chopped or 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 T fresh chopped or 1 tsp dried thyme
- 2 T olive oil
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1 small lemon, juiced
- Pita or other flatbread for serving
Directions
- Put feta bricks on metal tray.
- Sprinkle herbs over cheese
- Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with red pepper
- Drizzle with lemon juice.
- Preheat grill to medium (or broiler to high, with rack in center)
- Spray grill surface with oil
- Grill on metal tray with lid down (or broil) 6-8 minutes
- Cut into portions and serve immediately.
