Easy Vinaigrette

Almost as easy as buying a jar of pre-made salad dressing from the store. In fact, take an empty jar of pre-made dressing, wash it out well, and use it to make this vinaigrette.

Prep/Start-to-finish: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 Tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (dry)
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 1/4 t freshly ground pepper
  • Pinch of sugar
  • 9 T olive oil

Directions

  1. Combine vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper, and sugar in your recycled jar.
  2. Shake to combine.
  3. Add oil and shake again until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Use immediately, refrigerate any leftovers, but use within a day or two.

Vary the combination – try different vinegars (or lemon juice) and oils.
