Perfect for Thanksgiving or any other time!
Cranberry Apple Pie
- 6-7 cups sliced, peeled green apples (3 large)
- 1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbs orange zest
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbs butter
- pastry for 2 crust pie
Make the filling: Stir the apples, cranberries, sugar, cornstarch, zest, and cinnamon together.
Preheat oven to 400.
Line 9" pie plate with one crust. Add filling.
Roll the remaining pastry to fit top of pie; cut vents in pastry; place over filling, seal and flute the edges.
Bake at 400 for 20 minutes; reduce heat to 350, bake 30-35 minutes longer or until crust is golden borwn and filling is bubbly.
