Ingredients
- 1 pound dry black beans
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 yellow onion, sliced in rounds
- 2 garlic cloves, sliced in half
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 bay leaves
Directions
- Place all ingredients in your Instant Pot, turn the steam release valve to sealing, and put the lid on your Instant Pot.
- Set your Instant Pot to cook on manual for 22 minutes.
- Allow to natural release for 10 minutes and then release the steam. Steam will release for a few seconds—be careful because it will be hot!
- Carefully turn the lid and remove.
- Give the beans a good stir.
